Los trabajos de limpieza en los cinco arroyos de Escobar reducen el impacto ambiental y son parte de las tareas para disminuir los desbordes del agua
La Municipalidad ya retiró 55 autos abandonados y unos 30.000 kilos de basura. “Logramos que el agua escurra más rápido y, ante la misma intensidad de lluvias, evitamos sufrir las inundaciones de años anteriores”, destacó Ariel Sujarchuk.
La Municipalidad de Escobar prosigue con los trabajos de limpieza en las cuencas de los arroyos del distrito, de donde retiró unos 55 autos abandonados y alrededor de 30.000 kilos de basura. Con estas tareas de saneamiento, la gestión del intendente Ariel Sujarchuk consiguió reducir el impacto de las inundaciones en los barrios aledaños.
“Los operativos realizados lograron que al agua escurra más rápido en la zona del río Luján y, ante la misma cantidad de lluvias, evitó que sufriéramos inundaciones similares a las de años anteriores. Montamos un operativo de limpieza constante de nuestros arroyos Garín, Bedoya, Escobar, Loma Verde y Tajamar. Una vez que terminemos en retirar vegetación, residuos, escombros y basura, volveremos a empezar para mantener limpio nuestros cursos de agua. Queremos que los vecinos nos ayuden. Cuidar el medio ambiente es responsabilidad de todos”, recordó Sujarchuk.
Así como el intendente reconoció que “Escobar tiene un grave problema hidráulico y necesita de obras sólidas y concretas para solucionar definitivamente los problemas de inundaciones”, anticipó que en estos días, en una labor conjunta con los municipios vecinos, se presentaron ante las autoridades de la provincia de Buenos Aires los proyectos de saneamiento integrales de los arroyos Garín y Bedoya, que demandan una inversión total de $1070 millones (para concretarlos se buscará el financiamiento de Nación, Provincia u organismos internacionales). “Falta mucho para concretar el Escobar sin inundaciones que todos queremos, pero los primeros trabajos ya se empiezan a notar y nos demuestran que vamos por el buen camino. En los próximos cuatro años profundizaremos estas acciones para que el problema del agua quede en el pasado”, enfatizó Sujarchuk.
Mientras se avanza en esos planes maestros, la Secretaría de Obras Públicas analiza generar reservorios de agua en distintas zonas del municipio, a modo de continuar paliando los efectos de las intensas tormentas provocadas por la corriente del Niño. En ese sentido, ya ejecuta trabajos de ensanchamiento del arroyo Tajamar y, en su confluencia con el río Luján, se está deprimiendo el terreno para generar un valle que contenga el agua de lluvias. Una idea similar se proyecta llevar adelante en la zona del Barrio Saboya, donde deprimirán espacios verdes para que oficien de puntos de absorción y evite inundaciones.
