En la tarde de hoy, 24 de junio, la Secretaría de Educación, Cultura e Integración de la Municipalidad del Pilar, en conjunto con la Organización No Gubernamental MaMá en Línea, realizó una jornada de concientización sobre grooming, término que hace referencia al abuso sexual en redes sociales, cometido principalmente hacia niños y adolescentes.El evento contó con la presencia del Sr. Intendente Municipal, Dr. Humberto Zuccaro, la profesora María del Carmen Rodríguez de Zúccaro, titular del área de educación, junto a su colaboradora Nadia Frías, y la presidenta de MaMá en Línea, Mabe Christensen. Tuvo lugar en el Honorable Concejo Deliberante municipal.
El Dr. Zúccaro destacó “lo importante que es transmitir esta problemática a el Partido de Pilar, instituciones intermedias y al Concejo Deliberante”. Además, el jefe comunal se mostró muy comprometido con esta realidad que “afecta a todos los sectores de la sociedad y me involucra en todos los niveles, tanto como padre y como abuelo”.
Luego, se entregó un reconocimiento a la representante de la organización no gubernamental por su trabajo en la concientización a toda la población sobre grooming, la especialista Christensen, quien además recibió en manos del Sr. Intendente un Libro de Pilar y expresó sus palabras relacionadas a la prevención de este tipo de delitos en redes sociales y juegos online.
En este marco, también se proyectó un video sobre ciber acoso y se desarrollaron casos reales. Por su parte, Roxana Domínguez, madre de una víctima de grooming, contó la difícil lucha por la aprobación de la Ley que contemple penas de prisión para quienes contacten a un menor a través de un medio electrónico con intención de abuso.
La palabra inglesa «grooming» se vincula al verbo «groom«, que alude a conductas de acercamiento o preparación para un fin determinado. De esta manera, se relaciona con todas aquellas conductas ejecutadas online por pedófilos tendientes a ganar la confianza de los menores. Con este objetivo, usurpan o simulan una identidad que finja intereses y gustos en común, buscando empatía para luego concretar el abuso. Para combatirlo, se estableció como delito en noviembre de 2013, quedando especificado en el artículo 131 del Código Penal del país.
Esta charla es parte de la campaña de prevención que puso en marcha el municipio para que tanto los padres como las instituciones educativas tomen conciencia sobre esta modalidad actual con base en las redes sociales.
En la jornada, Mabe Christensen difundió el Decálogo para la seguridad web de tu familia:
1) Conocer el funcionamiento del correo electrónico, del chat, foros y sitios webs por los que navegarán tus hijos.
2) Bloquear el contenido que no sea adecuado para ellos y utilizar un programa de control parental que alerte cuando se navega por páginas inadecuadas.
3) Convertir la navegación en Internet en un momento de ocio familiar colocando la computadora en un espacio común.
4) Ayudarlos a crear su propia cuenta de e-mail y a escoger un alias (nick) que no revele información ni sea susceptible de ser malinterpretado.
5) Explicarles la importancia de no facilitar nunca su dirección, número de teléfono, nombre de la escuela, horarios habituales o dónde les gusta jugar.
6) Enseñarles que la diferencia entre lo que está bien y lo que está mal es la misma en la red que en la vida real. Si ven que alguien molesta a otra persona en Internet, deben avisarle a un adulto de confianza.
7) Recomendar que nunca dialoguen o muestren signos de confianza con desconocidos y que duden de lo que otros interlocutores escriban en Internet porque puede no ser cierto.
8) Advertirles que nunca se encuentren con una persona que haya conocido en Internet sin consentimiento de los padres ni que compartan fotos o datos personales con extraños, tanto en sí mismo como de sus amigos.
9) Consultar el historial de sus páginas visitadas. Hacerlo con discreción para no perder su respeto y confianza.
10) Estar pendiente de cambios de humor bruscos o de alteraciones repentinas en sus hábitos.
