El Intendente de Escobar, Sandro Guzmán, saludó a los bomberos voluntarios en su día:»Por el trabajo incansable que realizan, arriesgando sus vidas para ayudar a la comunidad, nuestro mayor reconocimiento y felicitaciones en este día».
Desde el año 2001, se instituyó por Ley al 2 de Junio como el día nacional del bombero voluntario de la república Argentina.
